Local 4-H group names honorees

The Bandera County 4-H held its awards ceremony during the 4-H Bash Enrollment Night on Sept. 15, at the Mansfield Park Showbarn.
Members and their families received information about the Bandera County 4-H program and the projects and activities offered.
The highlight of the events was the 4-H awards that recognized members with project completion certificates, the Silver Star Award, Outstanding 4-H Adult Leaders and the Friend of 4-H for the 2008-09 4-H year.
This year’s 4-H Silver Star award was given to Justin Klinksiek, president of the Pipe Creek 4-H Club. Outstanding Adult Leaders were Dan and Sheila Zavorka, club managers of the Lakehills 4-H Club, and the Friend of 4-H was Dr. Bryan Neff.
