Bandera faces Ingleside in Region IV semi-finals

By Tim McGrath

The Bandera High School Bulldogs will tangle with the Ingleside Mustangs in Region IV 3A – Division I semi-final playoff action this Friday night, Nov. 20, at Floresville. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.

In bi-district play last week the Mustangs (10-1), representing District 31AAA, crushed the Zapata Hawks (32AAA) 59-19 to advance to this week’s Regional semi-final round of the playoffs. The Bulldogs (8-2) had a bye in the bi-district round.

Ingleside features a high-powered offense led by senior quarterback Brian Hull. Last week, Hull passed for 321 yards and six touchdowns in the Mustangs victory over Zapata.

The Bulldogs will hold a pep rally for the entire community at 6 pm, Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Bandera High School Bulldog Stadium.
