BMS boys beat Llano

All four Bandera Middle School boys basketball teams beat Llano in action at Bandera Jan. 25.

The eighth grade boys “A” team beat Llano 36 to 25. Tyler Brown led scorers with 13 points. Joey Faglie put up nine points, and Michael Dobson contributed five.

The eighth grade boys “B” team beat Llano 33 to 25. Derrick Cheswick, Jeff Jensen, and Gabriel O’Dell each scored seven points. Eric Pompa contributed six points.

“Both teams adjusted well both offensively and defensively throughout the games,” said Coach Mike Lenz.

The seventh grade boys “A” team beat Llano 27 to 8. Kyle Monroe was the big scorer for Bandera with 16 points. Ryan Walker contributed four points.

The seventh grade boys “B” team beat Llano 22 to 16. Dustin Dudley, Travis Stewart, and Jesus Arreola each scored four points.
According to Coach Luke Sheets the “A” team started out sluggish but were able to pull it together to make a good effort in the second half. “The ‘B’ team played some of the best basketball they’ve played all year and did a great job of blocking out,” said Sheets.
