Middle school Lady Bulldogs win meet

By Brooke Ashcraft BISD

Middle School Bandera Lady Bulldogs won the Poth Invitational Cross Country Meet Sept. 30. After the McNeil Cross Country Meet was cancelled we quickly replaced it with the Poth Meet. We did not have all of our cross country team members, but the student athletes that showed up competed very well.
In the 7th grade girls division Kaitlyn Doebbler won the gold individually while Carley Smith was not far behind claiming the silver medal. Bietzel Gonzales placed 13th, Gracie Wilson 31st, and Jazmine Clark 36th. The 7th grade girls placed 1st overall as a team.
In the 7th grade boys division, Braden Cox placed 2nd claiming the silver medal while Josh Paxton ran his first cross country race placing 41st.
In the 8th grade girls division, Raelynn Butler placed 2nd, while Hannah Edwards was not far behind her placing 4th.
In the 8th grade boys division, Tyler Moore was the first runner for the Bulldogs placing 4th, while Juan Reyna was 12th, Brian Gonzales 20th, and Reese Mazurek was 41st.
The Bandera Middle School Cross Country Teams raced again on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Bandera City Park. Results of the race are not available by the time this paper goes to press.
