JV LadyBulldogs fall to Greyhounds

By Sandy Jennings BCC Staff Writer

Bandera LadyBulldog’s JV basketball hosted Boerne this past Tuesday, in a tough district battle that ended with the Hounds on top 40-31.
Angie Urbanowicz started off the rally with the first bucket of the night.
“We were down but rallied in the third quarter, but couldn't hold onto it in the fourth,” LadyBulldog JV Coach Ginger Frye said. “The girls played a great game, aided by some freshmen pulled up since Boerne didn't field a freshman team.”
Scoring for Bandera were Cheyenne Dennis and Presli Mooney with 7 points each, followed by Ashlyn Persyn, Kaitlin Garringer, Urbanowicz, and Guajardo 4 points each and Kristin Salas with 1 point.
Last Friday, the LadyBulldogs fell to the Canyon Lake Hawks 16-44, in district play.
Scoring for the LadyBulldogs were Dennis with 5 points, Garringer with 4, Morrow with 3, Persyn and Ashley Shaw with 2 points each.
Bandera will travel to Hondo this friday, taking on the Owls with a 5:30 pm tipoff.
