Senior Nick Salas represented the Bandera community at the 38th Annual San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game this past Saturday, at the Alamodome.
Following the US Army All-American Bowl Game, the SA Sports All-Star game includes over 100 outstanding players from the East and West areas of Bexar and surrounding counties.
Salas, the son of Ray and Ida Salas of Bandera, was selected as an offensive lineman for the West All-star Team.
The SA Sports All-Star Football Game, presented by H-E-B, served as the final game for more than 100 seniors representing 56 area high schools.
"From kickoff to the end of the fourth quarter, the game did not disappoint, showcasing all that makes high school football a passion of so many Texans," an All-Star spokesperson said. "There were exciting touchdowns, hard hits, defensive lapses, cheerleaders and more."
A crowd of 13,440 saw the West best the East, 35-23.
Besides football, Salas also plays basketball and baseball for the Bulldogs.
