Broll, Salyers win Flying L shamble

On Jan. 17 the Flying L Men's Golf Association held a one-man shamble in which players could hit two drives and choose which one to play. Kyle Broll and Bobby Salyers tied for the lead in the championship flight with net scores of 71. Buddy Antwine, Van Tom "Coach" Whatley, and Charlie Prokop tied for third with 72.
Don Bateman won the first flight with a net 67. Bill Martinot came in second with 69, and Ron Darby and Bob Williams tied for third with 70.
Jim Martin won the second flight with 68, followed by Jesse Rodriguez with 70 and Mike Skeen with 72.
Rick Rector won the third flight and Doug Hood, Rick Swett, and Dewayne Pirtle tied for second with 69.
Dewayne and Luana Pirtle won the championship flight of the Jan. 18 Flying L Couples Scramble with a net round of 69. Roy Rodriguez and Anita Kopplhuber were second with 71, while Bill and Gladys Martinot tied JT and Janet Hooten for third with 72.
Rich and Kathy Koch won the first flight with 70, and Woody and June Baker shot 72 to tie Terry and Dorene Peek for second.
