by Sandy Jennings BCC Contributor

Bandera traveled to Devine last Thursday, taking on the Warhorses and picking up another win with a score of 57-50 in overtime, bringing their overall record to 8-3.
"Coming off the holiday break, we looked slow at times offensively to start off, but picked it up throughout the second half," Freshman Coach Bobby LaLanne said.
When the buzzer sounded both teams were tied up at 44.
"Big games by Bryce Boyd and Josh Jauer, they kept us in it for most of the game," LaLanne said.
Boyd led the 'Dogs offensively with 18 points, followed by Jauer with 10 points.
"Trevor Leggett and Aiden Keane were key players in the fourth and throughout overtime, hitting clutch free throws and bringing in key rebounds, to seal the deal for the Bulldogs," Lalanne said.
Leggett scored 8 points for Bandera, followed by Keane with 5 points.
Other contributors for the 'Dogs were Connor Chessir and Landry Kinsel both with 5 points, and Jack Junker with 2 points.
Bandera's JV team, who had beaten Devine previously, fell to the Warhorses with a score of 33-49.
"We managed to pull within four by the end of the half," JV Coach Tyler Wanek said. "However, scoring only three points in the third quarter would put us down by 15 to start the fourth quarter and last minute efforts fell short."
Scoring for Bandera were Nick Salas with 13, Utah Hicks with 9, Brady Keane with 7, Tryston Butler and JT Milner both with 2.
The Bulldogs faced the Ingram Warriors Tuesday, and will open district play at home against the Boerne Greyhounds on Friday.
