JV Dogs exterminate Yellowjackets 62-46

In their last home game before the holidays, the Bandera JV basketball team took on the Llano Yellowjackets seeking redemption for an earlier loss. After a tight first quarter, the 'Dogs took control of the game, out-hustling and outscoring Llano to a 62-46 victory.
Bandera worked on their set offense, strengthening their game underneath with sophomore post Utah Hicks putting up 23 points for the 'Dogs. Team leader and junior point guard Brady Keane worked the perimeter, as well as, the lane penetration contributing 21 points fore the 'Dogs.
Llano, known for their strong press and defense, worked Bandera up and down the court, but were unsuccessful in forcing the desired turnovers.
"Brady Keane and Ruben Vargas helped negotiate a tough Llano press, while JT Milner and Nick Salas played tough defense and handled the boards," JV Coach Tyler Wanek said.
The JV team will be on hiatus until January 2, when they take on the Warhorses in Devine.
