By Carolyn B. Edwards BCC Staff Writer

The Bandera Boys Cross Country team competed at the Bandera Pre-district
Invitational Wednesday, finishing 4th overall behind three 5A schools. This contest got the team ready for the district meet this week on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

In the pre-district romp, Seva Nix finished third overall with a time of 16:37, Jarrod Elizondo finished seventh with a time of 17:11 and Ben Lopez finished sixteenth with a time of 17:36.

Tyler Mayhew finished sixth in the JV division with a time of 18:57.
"We are going to compete against two of the best teams in the state on
Wednesday, running against Boerne and Fredericksburg," said Coach Clifton Tierney. "We are looking to take one or both of these teams down. It's gonna be a show so get your popcorn ready."

Nix and Elizondo will both be competing for a district title.

"We have a bunch of soccer players running to help us out and they have been working hard all year, but they have to show up big Wednesday," said Tierney.
