Lady Bulldogs ranked 9th in State 3A cross country teams


The 2013 Cross Country Coaches Association of Texas Pre-Season Poll has ranked the Lady Bulldogs as 9th in the Class 3A Ladies Cross Country Teams in Texas. This is the first time the Lady Bulldogs have been ranked in a pre-season or regular season poll.

The Bandera Lady Bulldog Cross Country Team swept the top three spots at the Comfort Invitational meet on Saturday, August 24, with Mercy Yermo coming in 1st, Karla Presa coming in 2nd, and Caitlin Lenihan coming in 3rd. Lenise McHazlett finished at 21st.
The Junior Varsity Lady Bulldog Cross Country Team also took first place in their division with Kaitlyn Rodriguez coming in 1st, Monica Mata coming in 3rd, and Taelen Butler coming in 4th. Other team rankings included Emily Montague, 7th; Allie Denham, 9th; Laurynn Winters, 11th;Paige Barrington, 16th; Emily Dibrell 21st; and Jessie McLeod, 28th.
"I'm really proud of our Lady Bulldog Cross Country teams," said Coach Steve Golemon. "They are finally getting the respect they deserve and they have never looked better."
