BHS varsity girls volleyball routs Burnet


The Bandera varsity volleyball girls traveled to Burnet on Friday, August 23, where they routed the Burnet Bulldogs by winning 3 sets out of 5. Bandera fell in the first set 23 to 25 but came back to power over the Burnet team 25 to 10 in the second set. In the third set, Bandera again powered past Burnet 25 to 18 but fell to Burnet 22 to 25 in the fourth set. In the final set, Bandera pulled off a win scoring 15 to 10 over Burnet.
Bandera's senior Kelly Nelson had 12 kills and junior Dana Lohrke had 10 kills. Senior Catrina Sampson racked up 19 assists while Lohrke earned 14. Sampson also had 2 aces and Morgan Gross had 7 blocks. Samson and Lohrke each had 10 digs while Taylor Schultz had 9.
