JV Lady Dogs finish second at District Meet

The Bandera Lady Bulldog Junior Varsity team put on an impressive team performance with a second place finish at the District 27AAA Cross Country Meet run on Wednesday, October 24 at Starke Park in Seguin. The Bandera JV Lady Bulldog medal winners were sophomore Jeneive Casarez (2nd), junior Ashley Frerich (5th), freshman Caitlin Prince (7th), sophomore Sarah Butler (8th), freshman Catherine Ringel (10th) and freshman Elizabeth Moreno (14th).
Freshman Paige Barrington also earned a team medal for the Lady Bulldog JV as she and freshman teammate Jenessa Heinen both finished in the top half of the JV Division.
Other Lady Bulldog JV Team members in order of their finish were junior Lenise McHazlett, sophomore Jessica baker, freshman Ashley Montague, sophomore Jordan Fazio and sophomore Rachel Barker. Lady Bulldog senior Michaela Porterfield received a second place medal in the senior non-scoring division.
In addition, the total Bandera ISD Cross Country Program from the Middle School through the High School captured team medals in 7 of the 8 divisions at the District 27AAA Meet.
