Lady Bobcats defeat Center Point 3-1

The Medina Lady Bobcats volleyball team scored an impressive 3-1 victory over the Center Point Lady Pirates in four sets by scores of 25-12, 15-25, 25-18 and 25-16 in a match played on Friday, Sept. 28 at Medina. With the victory, the Lady Kats improve their district mark to 2-1 and their overall record to 10-12 on the season.

Abby Seymour led the Lady Kats in kills against Center Point with 6 while Nikki Sandidge, Hannah Buettner and Kaitlyn Robinson chipped in with 4 kills each for Medina. Lauren Ortiz had three kills for the Lady Bobcats.

Buettner dished out 15 assists while Chyna Phillips contributed two assists to the Lady Kat effort.

Robinson also added three blocks to the Medina effort against Center Point.

Katie Ofsow had three aces for Medina while Buettner, Ortiz and Robinson had two aces each for the Lady Kats.

Ortiz and Sandidge led the Lady Kats in digs with 8 apiece in the Medina winning effort. The Lady Kats continued their season on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Leakey and return home on Friday, Oct. 5 for a matchup with Harper beginning at 5 pm. JV action will get underway at 4. On Tuesday, Oct. 9, the Lady Bobcats will again be at home for a meeting with Junction beginning at 6 pm. The JV match will start at 5.
