BHS runners headed for Round Rock

By Tim McGrath BCC Sports Writer

The Bandera High School Cross Country teams will travel to Round Rock on Saturday, Oct. 6 to participate in the McNeil Cross Country Invitational Meet to be run at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.

Both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will compete at the McNeil Meet after a change in the schedule that moved the Bulldog team from the Seguin Matador Invitational Meet to the McNeil Meet in Round Rock. Often described as the best course in the State of Texas, the Old Settlers Course has not only been the traditional site for the UIL State Championships for the past 17 years, but has served as the host site for numerous District Championships, UASTF Championships and local 5K and 10K competitions.

The 3A Varsity Girls (3200 m) are set to start at 12 noon while 3A boys (5000 m) get started at 12:30 pm.

The JV Girls (3200m) start at 11 am and JV Boys (5000m) at 11:30 am.
