JV triumphs over Comfort

Last Thursday, Sept. 20, the JV Bulldog football team grabbed a convincing win against the Comfort Bobcats, by a score of 36-6. Landon Ventura led the game on the ground for the Bulldogs, racking up over 150 yards and two long touchdown runs.
Joe Rodriquez also added a rushing touchdown for the Bulldogs, and threw for another on a 35-yard pass to Ventura right before the half.
The Bulldog defense was led by Chance Lopez who grabbed two interceptions; Brady Keane and Kyle Bauml, who each had an interception; and Nick Andreas, who led the team in tackles.
The JV team improved to 3-1 on the season with the win, and will travel to La Vernia this week for the final pre-district game of the season.
Last week, the Freshman Bulldogs made the long trip to Lago Vista for their 4th pre-district game this year. The Bulldogs fell short by a score of 36-6, and the highlight of the game came on a touchdown pass from Utah Hicks to Nick Miano.
The Bulldogs will be taking on the La Vernia Bears this week looking to grab their first win before the district season starts.
