Flying L course plans slate of tourneys

The Flying L has a full slate of tournaments scheduled for this fall, highlighted by the first annual Flying L Open. The Open is an individual play tournament and will be held Oct. 27-28.

With full registration of 72 men and 24 women players, the field will be divided into six men's and two women's flights. Prizes up to $400 will be awarded to the best gross and best two net scorers in each flight.

There will also be closest to the pin prizes on all par three holes both days of the tournament. The entry fee of $150 covers golf, range balls, and prizes. Interested players may call the Flying L pro shop at 830-796-8466 for registration details and additional information.

Out of town players can get a special "Stay and Play Package" rate at the Flying L by calling (800) 292-5134 and asking for the golf tournament rate.

The Flying L Member/Guest Tournament will be held Sept. 22-23. This is always a fun weekend, and will be a 2-person, 1-low-ball event with full handicaps. Flying L members are encouraged to call up those long-lost friends and invite them out for a great weekend of competition and camaraderie.

The fall tournament season will be capped off with the Flying L Club Championship on Nov. 17-18.
