Volleyball getting underway

Volleyball practice for Texas High Schools began on Monday, August 8 as the Bandera Lady Bulldogs and the Medina Lady Bobcats jumped right into the action with scrimmage action played last weekend by both local teams.

The Lady Bulldogs mixed it up at Floresville on Friday, August 10, before traveling to Jourdanton on Saturday, August 11, for their second scrimmage in as many days.

The Lady Bobcats of Medina took on Cornerstone in San Antonio on Friday, August 10, for their first scrimmage action of the new season. On Tuesday, August 14, the Lady Bobcats played host to Johnson City and later in the week will participate in the D'Hanis Tournament on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 16, 17 and 18 at D'Hanis.

The Lady Bulldogs of Bandera played host to Marion and Medina Valley on Tuesday, August 14 and will play in the Tex-Fest Tournament on Friday and Saturday, August 17 and 18 at Wimberley. On Tuesday, August 21, the Lady Bulldogs will be at home against Comfort. Game times are 5:30 (Fr), 6:30 (JV) and 7:30 pm (V).
