Bulldogs sweep Warriors in Ingram in league play

By Brady Keane BCC Contributor

Last Thursday, July 5, the Bandera High School summer league baseball team traveled to Ingram to take on the Warriors for their ninth and tenth games of the summer season.

Winning both games by more than 10 runs, Bandera improved their record to 6-4.

In the first game, junior Bobby Ketterer came close to throwing a perfect game against the warriors, as he got 14 outs before giving up a base runner.

The Bulldogs finished up the game without allowing the base runner to score, and went on to win the second game as well.

The Bulldogs bats showed up to Ingram for both games, as the boys were able to score more than 10 runs both times for the first time this season.

All the pitchers did a great job keeping Ingram off of the bases, giving Bandera the season sweep of Ingram.

The Bulldogs will travel to Fredericksburg this Thursday for another double-header before finishing off the summer against Llano and Harper the next two weeks.

The team, made up of high school students, is composed of- Ish Macneil, Justin Galley, TJ Wofford, Dallas Backer, Andrew Acton, Tryston Butler, Brady Keane, Calvin Bankston, JT Milner, Ethan Weltens, Truman Hinton, Hunter Prince, CJ Hieligman, Andy Zimmel, Averie Mansfield, Tyler Parrish, Justin Horn, Bobby Ketterer, and Jonathon Stoufflet.

The team is coached by Robbie Hieligman, John Milner, and Mike Bankston.
