2012-06-2812U Kerrville Indians win Katy Tournament championship

The 12U Kerrville Indian baseball team competed this past weekend in the Nations Baseball sanctioned tournament, Battle of the Bats, in Katy, Texas, and brought home the championship title.
On Saturday, for pool play, they played the Katy Rockdawgs and won 10-0, then played the Katy Gamers and won 5-3.
After those two wins, the Indians came back Sunday as the #1 seeded team.
They again had to play the Katy Rockdawgs and won 11-0, qualifying them to play in the championship game against the Tomball Banditos.
They won the championship game 3-2 to bring home the title.

Members of the 12U Kerrville Indian team are: Layne Holmes (Mountain Home), Dock Faglie (Medina), Riggs Threadgill (Fredericksburg), Logan Webb (Kerrville), Cole Miears (Center Point), Remington Neffendorf (Fredericksburg), Hunter Grimes (Kerrville), Jack Qualls (Kerrville), Lance Ford (Kerrville), Jason Faulkner (Comfort), Peter Romanick (Fredericksburg), Rody Barker (Kerrville), Asa Lacy (College Station) and Brock Billeiter (Kerrville).
The 12U Indians are coached by: Freddie Russ, John Werner, Bret Ford and Scott Faglie.
