Schreiner schedules girls' volleyball camps

The Schreiner University Athletics Department will offer volleyball camps for girls in July and August.

Multiple camps will include three for middle school, students entering the fifth through the eighth grades; and three for high school girls, students in grades nine through 12, including recent graduates.

Schreiner's new volleyball head coach, Howard Wallace, will direct the camps. Wallace brings 30 years of collegiate volleyball coaching experience to Kerrville and the Schreiner program. This past fall, he helped the University of Texas at San Antonio to a 14-2 record and runner-up finish in the Southland Conference.

Prior to arriving at UTSA, Wallace served as head women's volleyball coach at Creighton University from 1997-2002. From 1992-97, he was the associate head coach at one of the nation's premiere women's volleyball programs, the University of Hawaii.

Middle school camps will be July 7-9, July 26-28 and August 6-10. High school camps will be July 11-15, July 16-18 and August 1-3. Each camp is $135 per player.
