Thomas & Fertig place 2nd

Medina's Austin Thomas and Brennan Fertig won 2nd place honors in doubles at the Knippa Rockcrusher Tennis Tournament last Friday.

The Bobcat netters won 3 matches along the way, including an exciting 2 hour 15 minute come from behind semi-final match over Sabinal.

In the championship, Thomas and Fertig lost in a tie-breaker to Knippa.

Other Medina results had the mixed doubles pair of Alanna and Alex Wilson finishing 4th. The girls doubles' team of Kristin Boyd and Abby Seymour also placed 4th, while the boys' doubles team of Hunter Hughes and Drake Lestourgeon advanced to the consolation finals by winning a pair of matches.

Paula Diosdado had an exciting time by winning her opening match.

Medina puts it all out on the court, April 9-10, as they compete at the District 29A Tournament in Kerrville.
