What is the answer?

Letters to the Editor

Medina Lake is now down over 50 feet and hundreds of ugly petrified tree trunks have been exposed. Many more are still underwater and have yet to be exposed.

For people on the water, they pose a danger. Someone falling off water skis or floats and landing on one just under the surface of the water would not do well.

It would be a great contribution to the safety of skiers, boaters and the looks of Medina Lake if these exposed petrified tree trunks could be removed.

How to get permission to do this; how to accomplish it since chainsaws will not cut petrified wood; and how to cover the expense of the removal are questions that seek answers.
