Letters to the Editor

This past Independence Day we got together as a community and held the 16th annual Fourth of July Pet Parade at Bandera City Park by the Medina River. Each year, the Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League sponsors this wonderful event.

This event turned out to be a huge success in every way for everyone involved, including pets and their owners, committee chairmen, judges, volunteers, animal lovers, donors and all the guests from across the USA.

A very special thanks goes out to Marlene Heavner, founder of our wonderful CCPAL rescue organization, and Karen Hensley, pet parade pet committee chairman, who worked non-stop for weeks in advance. Also a million thanks go out to each one of you for joining in the fun!

Next year will be even better!!!
