Jerry Bob Parker, 72, of Bandera, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16. He was born Nov. 12, 1937, in Corpus Christi.

A resident of the Corpus Christi area for over 50 years, Jerry worked in the oil refining business. In 1990, he moved his family to Bandera, where he served the community for the past 20 years through his pecan business.

A loving husband, devoted father, adored “Pop Pop,” trusted uncle, cherished son and loyal friend, Jerry was committed to hard work and his ability to find a solution to any problem.

All who were blessed to have known and loved him will miss him greatly. We love you, Dad!

Jerry is survived by his high school sweetheart and truly beautiful wife of 52 years, Bobbye, and the couple’s six children and 15 grandchildren – Teri and Jeff Hayes of Bandera and Jacob, Katelyn, Taylor, and Jordan; David and Lynette Parker of Corpus Christi and Valerie, Matthew, Kimberly and Cassidy; Kristy Parker of Austin and Kayla; Stacy and Bob Kromer of Northampton, Pennsylvania, and Paige, Ambur, Blake and Brooke; Greg and Tricia Parker of Boerne and Chase and Ele; and Shelly Parker of Bandera.
