Mary Ellen Francis, 81, of Bandera, passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Elmer Francis, on May 3, 2005.

Survivors include daughters, Irene Hudson and Peggy Lemaster of Phoenix, Arizona, and son Douglas Francis of Bandera; sisters, Merdaline Noble of Bethel, Ohio, and Betty Baker of Sheperdville, Kentucky; brother Joe Deaton of Amelia, Ohio; and grandchildren, Lori, Kelli, Christine, Steven, Tanya, Dustin, Mary Gaye, Levi, Joelle and Jessica, as well as numerous great grandchildren.

The funeral service took place at Grimes Funeral Chapels on Tuesday, Jan. 19, officiated by Pastor Shannon Lewis. Interment followed at Bandera Cemetery with pallbearers, Roy Lemaster, Spencer Hudson, Dustin Lemaster, Levi Francis, Steven Eiler and Don Rogers.
