Rex Milton Emmons Jr.

1943-2009

Rex Milton Emmons Jr., 66, of Pipe Creek, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17.

He was born to Rex and Beatrice Armstrong Emmons Sr. on May 29, 1943, in McAllen.

Mr Emmons married Linda Ann Little on July 1, 1967. She preceded him in death on Nov. 17, 1988. Mr. Emmons married Jeannette VanCleve on Oct. 15, 1999.

He spent his career as a salesman by trade and was an empathetic relationship builder in both his daily and professional life.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Emmons of Pipe Creek; sons, Scott Emmons of Pipe Creek, Brett Emmons of San Antonio and Thad Emmons of Medina; three stepchildren; and nine grandchildren, Cole, Hope, Madeline, Cadence, Everett, Texas, Martin, Chase and Jake.

Funeral service was held Sunday, Dec. 20, at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Mr. Danny Snell officiating. Interment followed at the old Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers included Michael Smith, Colter Wallace, George Hohon Jr, Scott Rogers, Troy Crowston, Ernest Malone and Wes Upton. Honorary Pallbearer was Charles “Charlie” Montague VI.
