Dale Keith Sr.

1933-2009

Dale Keith Sr., 76, of Bandera, died on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at his residence in Bandera.

He was born in Sherwood on March 22, 1933, son of Cleo Dean and Ruby Mae Adams Keith.

A veteran of the United States Army, Dale was an elder in the Presbyterian Church in Helotes and in Leon Springs. He also was a well-known country music star, performing with Dale Keith and the Starlite Ramblers. He sang country music for 40 years.

Additionally, Dale owned DK Drilling Company and Pump Service. The company, which was founded in 1978, is still servicing water wells.

Dale is survived by his wife of 31 years, Emily Keith of Bandera; sons, Duane Falardeau and his wife, Bridget, of Kerrville; Dale Keith Jr. and his wife, Krystal, of Bandera; and Stanley Keith and his wife, Le Anna, also of Bandera; daughters, Cindy Henkhaus of Houston and her husband, Jeff, of Houston; Carol Ann and her husband, Chuck, of Boerne; and Debbi Flanders and her husband, DJ, of the United Arab Emirates.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, Nov. 2, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera with Pastor Bob Morris officiating.
Following the ceremony, a lunch was provided by the congregation of the White Rock Church in Bandera.
