Joyce Adamietz

1929-2009

Joyce Adamietz became absent of her body and entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the age of 80.

She was born Jan. 15, 1929, in San Antonio to Hugh and Pearl Harper, who preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker, who, throughout her life, enjoyed traveling, dancing and playing games. However, her greatest joy came from simply being with her family and the friends she made while living in San Antonio, Bandera and Justin.

Survivors include daughter Terri Basham Hudson and her husband, Jim, of Roanoke; granddaughter Chelsea Hudson-Lewis and her husband, Matthew, of Keller; grandson Chase S. Hudson of Roanoke; nephews, Perry Watson of Katy and Ronnie Watson of Corpus Christi; and all family members of Joyce’s beloved Henry Adamietz of Bandera.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by children, Carroll Wayne Basham and Pamela Jeanne Basham; husbands, Carroll D. Basham and Henry R. Adamietz; brothers, Harry and Eugene Harper; and sister Wanda Harper Watson.

A celebration of Joyce’s life will take place at 1 pm, Saturday, Nov. 7, in the chapel of the Mausoleum at Mission Park North Cemetery in San Antonio.

Arrangements are entrusted to JE Foust & Son Funeral Directors in Grapevine.
