Colonel Orton Dittmar Frisbie

Retired United States Air Force Colonel Orton Dittmar "Ditt" Frisbie passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 11, at his home in Orlando, Florida. He was born on Oct. 6, 1929, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Orton graduated from Orlando High School in 1948 and continued his education at the University of Florida and University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1958.

Orton was commissioned into the United States Air Force in 1959 and retired with the rank of colonel in 1984. He was very proud of his 25-plus years of military service. After many years of retired life in beautiful Bandera, he returned to Orlando in 1999 and married his longtime friend, Ann Snow Knight.

With his humorous stories and quick wit, Orton touched the lives of many people. He enjoyed traveling with his dear wife Ann, loved animals, had a passion for building model ships and was an avid reader. He was also a devoted member of Downtown Baptist Church where he blessed many people with his time and talents.

In November 2001, Orton was predeceased by his wife Mary Frisbie Roberts.

He will be forever remembered by his devoted wife Ann; his beloved daughters, Leslie Frisbie Cuevas; Allison Frisbie Prose and her husband, Greg; Mary Ann Frisbie and Craig Rinn; and Beth Loy and her husband, Bobby; treasured grandchildren, Jarrett and Jeffrey Cuevas, Savannah and Marshall Prose, Hannah and Trey Brake, Robert Fryback and Katie Martin; and loving sister Sharon Burden, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to have known him.

We are grateful for the loving care that Hospice Vitas provided Orton and his family and donations can be made in Orton's memory at 2201 Lucien Way, Suite 100, Maitland, FL 32751 or to Downtown Baptist Church, 201 East Pine Street, Orlando, FL 32801.

Donations to an animal rescue organization or animal shelter of choice would also be a meaningful way to honor Orton's life.

Robert Bryant Funeral & Cremation Chapel handled the arrangements and more information can be obtained by calling 407-240-6080.
