James Manuel Commander

1948-2010

James Manuel Commander, 61, of Pipe Creek, passed away on Friday, Nov. 19, in San Antonio.
He was born on Dec. 20, 1948, in San Francisco, California, to GW and Jackie L. Commander.
James married Joan Arlene DeMartini on May 10, 1992, in Reno, Nevada.
He served in the United States Army.
James is survived by his wife of 18 years, Joan Commander of Pipe Creek; daughters, Jackie Cromwell and Leasa DeMartini; and grandchildren, Maggie Cromwell, Fred Cromwell, Tim Cromwell and Kathrine Cromwell.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera with the Bro.Chris Christopherson officiating. Internment followed at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
