Bruce Brian Bode

1987-2017

Bruce Brian Bode, 29 of Milano, passed away Wednesday, June 21.  Funeral services were held at 2 pm, Monday, June 26 at the Milam County Cowboy Church with Pastor Greg Spears officiating.  Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery in the Hanover Community near Milano.  Visitation was held from 4 to 6 pm, Sunday, June 25 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
 Bruce was born August 14, 1987 in Temple to Oscar “Butch” Bode III and Vicky Lynne (Howard) Jordan.  He graduated from Milano High School and attended Hill College where he was involved with the Rodeo Team.  Bruce married Holly Burlin on July 7, 2013 in Rockdale.  He owned and operated Bode Trucking, was a member of the Milam County Cowboy Church, enjoyed roping, helping the kids at the Rodeo Play Days, working with his horses, but most of all, Bruce loved his family. 
 He is preceded in death by his father, Oscar “Butch” Bode III; maternal grandfather, J.D. Howard; paternal grandparents, Oscar and Doris Bode; uncle, Bruce Brian Bode; and aunts, Diane Macaulay and Kathy Bode Kenjura.
 Bruce is survived by his wife Holly Bode of Milano; children, Blaze and Bray Bode; mother and step-father, Vicky and Harry Jordan of Milano; step-mother, Linda Bode of Bandera; brother, Oscar “Buster” Bode IV and wife Kristi of Rockdale; step-sister, Sara Balcar of Bandera; grandmother, Florence Yoakum of LaGrange; aunts, Brenda Bode Klotz and husband Larry of Montgomery and Sharon Bode Pennell of Bryan; nephew, Oscar “Bryce” Bode V of Rockdale; niece, Bayle Bode of Milano; and cousin, Jamie Budnick and husband Greg of Kingwood.
 Pallbearers were Bobby Joe Tindle, Zach Zawadzke, Cass Rathmann, Curtis Barnett, Steven Burlin and Joe Carter.
 Honorary pallbearers were Bryce Bode, Coby Burlin and Wyatt Ramsey.
