Marianna Perry Brittis


Marianna Perry Brittis of Bronxville, New York, passed away peacefully in Bronxville, NY on Tuesday, Feb. 14, one day before her 87th birthday, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Mrs. Brittis was active in historic preservation and was Vice-President of the Perry-Gething Foundation, dedicated to the preservation of Victorian and American arts. A devout Catholic, she was a Dame in the Knights of Malta and active in many religious and arts associations in New York.
Mrs. Brittis lived in New York but kept family ties in Texas. She frequently came for Fiesta and gave tours at the historic Gething House during Fiesta.
She is survived by two children, Dr. Sarajane Brittis and Dr. Perry Brittis of New York, two brothers, Robert M. Perry and John J. Perry of Bandera and a sister Katherine Perry of San Antonio.
A mass and burial services were held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera on Friday, Feb. 24. She was buried next to her beloved husband, Dr. Anthony L. Brittis, a neurosurgeon who practiced in New York, and other family members.
