Mary Ann Untermeyer

Mary Ann Kruvelis Untermeyer, 57, passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, in San Antonio.
The youngest of seven children, she was born August 15, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan, to Anthony and Anna Kruvelis. Mary Ann grew up by a lake in Michigan and continued her love of water by living most of her married life on the Medina Lake waterfront in Lakehills. She loved spending time at the lake with her friends and family and she loved to fish.
Mary Ann also loved making others happy. This included volunteering at local festivals and schools; making and donating prayer blankets to the church; collecting and repairing clothes and costumes, which she, in turn, donated to others; and organizing and hosting large theme parties.
Mary Ann made every holiday special by using her extensive creative design talents to decorate the house for every occasion. She loved creating Halloween memories for both children and adults by concocting extra treats for them and setting up novel haunted displays for their enjoyment.
It's impossible to list all of Mary Ann's contributions during her time with us. From a very young age, she had a tremendous positive effect on everyone that she met - family, friends and even strangers.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 30 years, Thomas C. "Tom" Untermeyer of Lakehills; daughters, Jackie Untermeyer of Austin, and Kristin Bradberry and her husband, Matthew, and the couple's children, Xander and Maddox, of Seattle, Washington; sisters, Ann Tindell, Sue Montes and Patricia Maniewski; and brother Charles Kruvelis.
She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Thomas Kruvelis and William Kruvelis.
