Estelle Ann Adams


Surrounded by her loving family, Estelle Ann Adams, 70, went to her eternal home Saturday, Jan. 9, in San Antonio.
She was born on Oct. 24, 1945 in Abernathy to Benita and Vester Jackson.
Ann grew up at the Medina Children's Home in Medina, and in the home of foster parents, Marilyn and Calvin Seale.
She loved to paint and her paintings grace the homes of many of her family and extended family. Ann also made the most incredible potato salad and relished keeping her recipe secret from everyone - except her husband!
Ann is survived by her Medina High School sweetheart and husband of 53 years, HM Adams Jr.; daughters, Charlene Adams and Marilyn Adams; and granddaughters, Annie Lauren Mayo and Elizabeth Nicole "Izzy" Adams. Ann is also survived by her sister-in-law, Paula Adams-Higley, and her husband, Ed; sister-in-law Genie Adams Strickland and her husband, Victor; and brothers-in-law, Robert Adams and Lee Adams and his wife, Cathy; and her sister, Juniata Scridner and her husband, Corky, of Wichita Falls, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, June and Jimmy Higgs, of Amarillo.
Visitation will be held from 3 pm to 7 pm, Friday Jan. 15, at Mission Park North in San Antonio. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday Jan. 16, at the First Baptist Church in Bandera. Immediately following the services, interment will take place at the Adams Family Cemetery at the Adams Bar 7 Ranch in Medina.
Pallbearers will be Robert Brown Jr., Albert De La Garza, Robert Adams, Lee Adams, Victor Strickland and Shaun Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Curry, Carl Gager, Pat Boyle, Don Swope, David Shackelford, Ed Higley, Barret Adams, Trey Shackelford, Lucky Lumas, Terry Windburn, Zak Adams and Jake Adams.
