Eva Mae Brown
Eva Mae Brown, 95, of Bandera, passed away Wednesday, March 12, in Bandera. She was born in Hondo on Nov. 8, 1918, to Adolph Albert Pichot and Minnie Eva Bendele.
In 1937, she married MB Padgett, who passed away at the young age of 49, leaving her a widow. Eva married Archie Zane Brown in 1971 in Uvalde.
She attended to school in Hondo and retired from Golff's Twix and Teen of Uvalde. Eva was also involved in the Eastern Star, hospital volunteer work and Helping Hand. In addition, she enjoyed making other patients' days a little brighter at the Bandera Rehabilitation Center.
Eva is survived by her son, Bob, and his wife, Nita Padgett; grandchildren, Troy and his wife, Mary Padgett; Sheri and her husband, Kenny Alf; Troy Walker; and Becky and her husband, Steve Stoops; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Adell Doll Burger, and Adabell and her husband, Frankie Carrasco.
Eva was predeceased by her parents, Adolph and Minnie Pichot; brothers, George, Homer and Charlie Pichot; and husbands, MB Padgett and AZ Brown.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Bandera Rehabilitation Center and also to Amy of River City Hospice.
Services were held Saturday, March 15, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera with burial following at Tarpley Cemetery. Rev. Ken Dahlberg officiated.
Pallbearers were Kenny Alf, Steve Stoops, Dr. Dick Sisk, Rob Sandidge, Troy Padgett and Dave Aldridge.
