James Christopher Graham
The Lord called one of our greatest soldiers home on Sunday, Feb. 9. James Christopher Graham, 76, was a loving husband, father, scholar and veteran of the United States Air Force.
The Florida native spent more than 20 years in the military with tours of duty in Okinawa and Panama.
Graham married his high school sweetheart, Joann. The couple was together for 60 years. They had four children, and retired to their custom dream home they built in Pipe Creek.
After retiring from the military, Graham received a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees from Southwest Texas State University. For 25 years, he was an assistant professor at the Dental Lab Technology School at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Graham was a master organic gardener with jogging another of his passions.
He is survived by his wife, Joann; sons, Errol and Wade Graham; daughters, Yolanda and April Graham; and eight grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 10 am until noon, Thursday, Feb. 20, at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Avenue, in San Antonio.
One of our greatest soldiers will be laid to rest with full military honors at 2 pm, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach, San Antonio.
