Vivian 'Carol' Wedgworth
Vivian "Carol" Wedgworth, 66, of Medina, died Saturday, Sept. 14. Daughter of Richard Crawford and Pauline Whitehead Robertson and loving wife of John Wedgworth, passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer.
She worked for Bandera County for almost 30 years. For the last 15 years, Carol served as chief deputy clerk for the office of the district clerk. Prior to that position, she was chief deputy clerk for the county clerk's office for several years.
In addition to her dedication to her husband, children and grandchildren, Carol loved the outdoors, gardening, feeding birds, attending sporting events and, most of all, traveling one direction to the beach and the other direction to New Mexico and Colorado. Carol will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, John, and children, Tori Callahan Sheridan and her husband, Chris; Gennifer Callahan Faris and her husband, Ernest; Michael Wedgworth and his wife, Amanda; Johnnie Wedgworth and his wife, Wendy; Stacy Presley; and Amy Wedgworth. Carol is also survived by nine grandchildren, Courteney Morris Goforth and her husband, Joe; Tyler Faris; Tanner Faris; Cade Wedgworth; Elizabeth, Tori, Khloe and Kirsten Wedgworth; and Colten Wedgworth.
Services were held Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Grimes Funeral Home Bandera. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol's name to austismspeaks.org.
