Debra Ann Casey Dyer
Debra Ann Casey Dyer went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 19, in Bandera. She was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on August 2, 1955.
Debbie lived in Oskaloosa; Long Branch, New Jersey; Seaside and Astoria, Oregon; Mobile, Alabama; Houston; and Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Faith Baptist Bible College, Ankeny, Iowa, and an associate degree in nursing from Marshaltown School of Nursing in Marshaltown, Iowa.
Debbie spent her entire life serving in the music ministries of the local churches to which she belonged. Additionally, she spent over 30 years in the nursing profession - the last 12 as a certified hospice nurse.
Debbie will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother and nana.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Scott Dyer, of Bandera; son Jonathan Dyer and his wife, Carlie; grandsons, Jordan, Aidan and Jase; and granddaughter Hailey, all of Houston; son Benjamin Dyer and his wife, Shannon, and granddaughter Lydia, all of Satsuma, Alabama; daughter Casey Dyer of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; brother Patrick Casey and his wife, Cherie, of Omaha, Nebraska; sister Kay Swanson; and nieces, Kim Hols and Tasi Dejoode, all of Oskaloosa; and sister-in-law Joyce Casey and nephew Bowen Casey, both of Viroqua, Wisconsin.
Debbie was predeceased by her father, Ralph Nelson Casey; mother Ann Marie Casey of Oskaloosa; and brother Joseph Casey of Wawautosa, Wisconsin.
