Pamela Janette DeHart


Pamela Janette DeHart, 62, of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Bandera, lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, July 21, at the home of Victor and Genie Strickland where she received hospice and family care. She was born April 11, 1951, in Denver, Colorado.

After attending Cherry Creek Schools in Denver, Pam graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in education. She married her childhood sweetheart, Phillip DeHart, on July 25, 1998, in Prescott, Arizona. Before becoming a full time homemaker, she taught school and worked in the banking industry.

Pam is survived by her husband, Phil DeHart; children, Angela Nichole and Christopher Jason of Denver; brothers, Gregg Tubbs of Denver and Randy Sturgis of Port Townsend, Washington state; sister Karen Sturgis of Boulder, Colorado; grandchildren, Pamela Besamae Buttrill and Oliver Miles Buttrill; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and C. Jean Tubbs.

Pam was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Services, performed by Brother Bob Morris, were held Thursday, July 25, at Grimes Funeral Chapel of Bandera.
