Gerard William 'Jerry' Anderwald
Gerard William "Jerry" Anderwald, 84, passed away Sunday, June 16, in Bryan. He was born on April 19, 1929, in Bandera to Thomas J. and Eleanora Mary Snaer Anderwald.
He attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and graduated from Bandera High School. Mr. Anderwald served in the United States Air Force and retired from Shell Refinery as a craftsman.
For most of his life, Mr. Anderwald lived in Baytown and moved to Buffalo from Inks Lake, near Burnett, in May 2005. He enjoyed fishing and working. He was a member of the Blessed Kateri Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo and the American Legion.
Surviving family includes loving wife, Dolores Anderwald, of Buffalo, and sisters, Mary Elenor Campion, Sister Bernadette, Vera King and Louise Koehler, all of San Antonio; and Dorothy Callaham and Joan Walters, both of Bandera.
Mr. Anderwald was predeceased by both parents and five brothers, Thomas Bernard, James Frances, Thomas Peter, Anthony Joseph and Jerry Anderwald.
Graveside services were held Thursday, June 20, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Bandera, with Fr. Stan Olesky officiating. Texas. A visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo.
