James Henry Anderwald
James Henry Anderwald passed away in Kerrville, Monday, June 24. He was born in Lockney on March 11, 1926.
Jimmy - as he was fondly known to his friends and family - grew up in Bandera, attending St. Joseph Catholic School and Bandera High School. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army.
An incredibly talented carpenter, steel worker and rancher, Jimmy spent many years traveling throughout the country before returning to Bandera to build a business with his cousin, Vincent Anderwald.
Jimmy was well loved by his family and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. He and his wife, Kathy Griffin Anderwald, enjoyed traveling, dancing and spending time with the family.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Kathy, the love of his life, and the couple's children, Retha, Angela, Melanie, Johnny and Timothy. He is also survived by grandchildren Danny, Cody, Trey, Tristan, Desha, Luke, Grace, Landon and Marley, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am, Thursday, June 27, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Stan Oleksy officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Jimmy's name to the American Heart Association.
