Elvira M. Aguilar
Elvira M. Aguilar, 88, of Bandera, passed away Thursday, May 30, at her home. She was born in Atascosa to Evaristo Montana and Paula Garcia Montana on Nov. 11, 1924.
She married Isidoro Aguilar in January 1941 in Atascosa.
Elvira worked at Gray's General Store in Lytle and also as a housekeeper at MP Ranch and Hi-Gate Ranch.
She loved gardening, especially roses. She was Catholic.
Elvira is survived by her daughter, Avelinda Winslow; sons, Roberto Aguilar and his wife, Mary; Jose B. Aguilar; Alfredo Aguilar and his wife, Carol; Isidoro Aguilar Jr. and his wife, Gloria; and Abel Aguilar and his wife, Olivia; sisters, Lela Serna and her husband, Gregorio, and Janie Seals and her husband, Richard; brothers, Raul Montana; Pablo Montana and his wife, Adriana; and Adolfo Montana and his wife, Linda; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband Isidoro Aguilar.
Funeral services took place Monday, June 3, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
