Hazel Marie Loomis


Hazel Marie Tittsworth Loomis, 79, of Bandera, passed away Friday, March 8, at home. She was born in Reeds Spring, Missouri to James William Tittsworth and Hazel Fay Chandler Tittsworth. Hazel married Harold Loomis on February 3, 1956 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
She served in the United States Army from 1954-1956 as a clerk-typist at Fort Belvoir. As a military housewife, she moved with her husband from Virginia to Honolulu, Hawaii, and then to France and Germany before finally ending up at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio.
Additionally, Hazel served in the Texas Extension of Homemakers in Comal County.
She is survived by her husband, Howard E. Loomis; sons, Rohne W. Loomis and his wife, Betty, of Amarillo; Raymond L. Loomis and his wife, Connie, of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and Russell A. Loomis and his wife, Deanna, of Boelus, Nebraska; sister Millie Batchelor of California; brother James W. Tittsworth and his wife, Louise, of Snow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jeremy Loomis and his wife, Lindsay, of Canyon; Jennifer Stewart and her husband, Lucas, of Gravel Ridge, Arkansas; and Jon Michael Loomis and his wife, Jennifer, of Turkey; and great-grandchildren, Samantha, Shane, Angela, Breanna, Aiden, Conner, Whitney and Cheyenne.
Hazel was predeceased by her parents.
