Roy Gould Scott
Roy Gould Scott, 89, of Bandera, passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 4, 1919, to William Procter Scott and Erma Lanzer Scott. Roy married Hazel Dean Hennigan in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on August 4, 1945. She passed away on July 25, 2006.
As a lieutenant colonel, Roy served his country as a pilot in the United States Air Force for 30 years.
Later, he became a rancher specializing in raising coastal hay in the Bandera area.
Roy leaves behind many friends and family. He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Dean Gernentz of Bandera, and Leslie Elain Scott of Portland, Oregon; son Gregory Gauld Scott of Yachats, Oregon; grandchildren, Thomas Christopher Gernentz, Ryan Scott Gernentz and Alexander Gauld Scott; and great-grandchildren, Stephanie Marie Gernentz, Cooper Scott Gernentz and Thayne Allen Gernentz. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel Dean; sister Evelyn Scott McCoy; and brother William Proctor Scott.
