Daniel Eugene Marryott, age 50, of Bandera passed away suddenly on Monday, March 3, from heart failure.
He was born on February 25, 1958, in Oslo, Norway, to Diane and Fredrick Eugene Marryott Jr.
Daniel was a naval veteran and an active participant in inter-tribal pow-wows. One of the kindest people around, he spent his life helping everyone who needed him.
He was an active member of the San Antonio Living History Association, the Hill Country Archeological Association, Amateur Radio Operators Club, National Rifle Association, Southern Winds Apache Tribe, Grace Lutheran Church of Bandera and the Sons of the Legion Squadron 157 in Bandera. Daniel was also a fixture during Friday Night Bingo at the American Legion.
He is survived by his mother Diane Ellis and stepfather William Ellis of Bandera; brothers, Richard Marryott of San Antonio and Robert Elliot of La Porte; sisters, Jennie Bourland of Del Rio and Iva Mollina-Weis of Weimar; adopted step-grandmother Linda Shaw of Bandera; uncle and aunt Lorenzo and Gerlinda Manzanera of San Antonio; and many nephews, nieces and cousins, along with a host of friends.
At 2 pm on Sunday, April 6, a memorial service will be held at the American Legion Post 157, 205 12th Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bandera County EMS Memorial Fund, PO Box 5, Bandera 78003.
