Jack Harlen Ahenger
Jack Harlen Ahenger, 60, of Bandera, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 23. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania to Clarence and Helen Ahenger on Feb. 23, 1953.
Jack graduated from Fort LeBouf High School in Waterford, Pennsylvania and attended DeVry Institute of Technology. By trade, he was an electronics technician, musician and a small engine mechanic. Also, throughout his life, he always pursued his biggest passion - music - as an avid drummer and part-time guitarist in numerous bands.
After moving to Bandera in 2009, Jack quickly made many friends in town at the Silver Dollar, Chickn' Coop and 11th Street Cowboy Bar. A renowned pool shark, he also enjoyed live country music.
Jack is survived by his children, Ian Ahenger and Shaina Coney, and sisters, Sherry Simkins and Chrissy Farmer.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Daniel Ahenger and other members of his immediate family.
Future plans for a wake in Bandera have yet to be determined. Services will be held at a future date in Pennslyvania.
