David Steele Palmer


David Steele Palmer left us on Wednesday, Dec. 26, to join his wife, Jerry, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. JP Palmer. He was born March 3, 1933.
Known best for being a family man and good provider, he worked for Holl & Blue Print, Paul Anderson Co. and Industrial Lubricants. Additionally, he often did security work and drove test fleet cars.
David loved spending time with his family at the lake and often took fishing trips to the coast. More recently, he enjoyed outings to Fiesta Texas and treasured family get-togethers, as well as spending time with his "Barber Shop Buddies" and visiting with neighbors wherever he lived.
He is survived by his five children, Dorothy Rogers, James Palmer, Jerry Lebrecht, Carol Navarro and David Palmer III; grandchildren, Brian Rogers, Natalie Palmer, Stuart Holmberg, Jamie Bocola, Megan Lebrecht, Jeanette Wooley, Brian Navarro, Joey Navarro, Wendy Garrido, Brieanna Stofer and David Palmer IV; and great-grandchildren, Brianna Navarro, Brian Navarro, Brenden Navarro, Khloe Navarro and Layla Garrido. Mr. Palmer is also survived by his sister, Bernice Jordan, and his brother, Rev. James Palmer.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 28, at Grimes Funeral Chapels with the Rev. James Palmer officiating. Burial followed at Bandera Cemetery.
