Shanon James Lewis
Shanon James Lewis was called to his heavenly Father on Sunday, Sept. 30, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 31, 1960 in Brownwood.
Shanon worked many years in the gas compression industry. He enjoyed his Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros and fishing. He also had a very competitive nature. Shanon loved his family and spent most of his time with them.
Those left to cherish his life are wife Rhonda Lynn Lewis of Pipe Creek; son Shawn Lewis and his wife, Shantay, of Pipe Creek; daughter Rhiannon Lewis of Canyon; three grandchildren; mother Madgie Sue Williams of Pipe Creek; sisters, Daniellia Hesson and her husband, Weldon, of San Antonio, and Donya Long and her husband, Johnny, of Round Rock; and brother Thomas Williams and his wife, Priscilla, of Pipe Creek, along with several nieces and nephews.
Shanon was predeceased by his fathers, Howard Lewis and Virgil Williams; and son, Tyler James Lewis.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, Oct. 6, at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera with Pastor Phil Taylor officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made in Shanon's name to the American Cancer Society.
