1941-2012

Georganna L. "Ann" Cook made her transition on Friday, Sept. 7, after a swift, yet difficult, battle with pancreatic cancer. The youngest of three children, she was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on June 19, 1941, to William Huston and Helen America Crow Smith.
For the last six years, Ann lived in Bandera. Prior to that, she lived in the area of Spring, Texas where she was an active member of Creative Life Spiritual Center.
Throughout her life, Ann traveled extensively, finding great pleasure in exploring the world under the waves in our planet's oceans and seas. She was a skilled seamstress, an ambassador of nature and a talented musician, who loved to dance. Her son will take her ashes scuba diving to rest among the beautiful life of a coral reef.
Ann is survived by her brother, Robert E. Smith, of Valley Center, Kansas; son Robert H. Cook of Ft. Meyers, Florida; daughter Sidny A. Cook of Bandera; and her granddaughter, Muse H. Luna, also of Bandera.
Preceding Ann in transition are her sister, Shelia Doxon of Hutchinson, Kansas; her former husband, James R. Cook; and her parents.
In lieu of flowers, please step out of your comfort zone and do something wacky. Take a risk, finding joy in that smile. Extend extra gratitudes to others, remembering yourself for doing well. We are One. And So It Is.
